Course Description

This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts, tools, and applications of computer-assisted translation (CAT). It provides hands-on training with industry-standard translation software, focusing on translation memory (TM), terminology management, machine translation (MT) integration, and quality assurance. Students will also explore how emerging technologies like AI and cloud-based platforms are reshaping the translation industry. By the end of the course, students will be able to use CAT tools effectively and critically assess technological solutions for various translation tasks.
